Amy & Shaun

January 5, 2020

It feels like a long time ago I first met with Amy and talked about her plans for her gorgeous wedding to her beau, Shaun. I liked her immediately! Warm, kind natured, friendly. Then I met Shaun a little bit down the line and knew they were indeed perfect for one another, because he was exactly the same way.

I was so excited to fly to Wellington and finally photograph their big day. The weather was perfection, despite the typical Welly wind making me a bit nervous the day before. Amy and Shaun couldn't have picked a more perfect date.

We orchestrated a first look before the ceremony which I always enjoy watching unfold - the anticipation, excitement and then the look in the groom's eye when he sees his beautiful wife to be. I wasn't disappointed this time, Amy looked completely stunning and the look on Shaun's face told me he agreed.

The ceremony was particularly lovely as it was conducted by Amy's grandfather - how special! The lovely vows ended in a very romantic first kiss as husband and wife - which with my second shooter Belinda's help, we managed to capture from two angles, as you will see below.

A highlight for me was Amy's breathtaking gown - gorgeously beaded with a fun-loving bright orange and pink twist.

Check out a small snippet of Amy and Shaun's beautiful wedding day below, I'm sure you will agree it was a stunner!

A massive thank you to Belinda Pratt Photography for second shooting for me and doing a fabulous job.
